I am interested in the seam between human endeavor and action, and natural occurrences of all types. Science, biology, natural history and scientific collections, research, and illustrations inform and inspire my  imagery and ideas for my artist books.

My most recent interest is in water, its life and history, and the stories that waterways convey. My prints and  artist books are informed by preliminary drawing, photographing and recording of subjects. As I engage  with printing and the book structure, the images and three-dimensional book form coalesce together so that  form and content are harmonious. Drawing is fundamental to the intaglio printmaking process and I enjoy  adding text with letterpress. I work back and forth between small edition artist books, unique book  structures, and intaglio prints.
